Runes are ancient symbols engraved into stones. Each rune has it’s own meaning based on universal principles and ideas – Runes are not divinatory- or a fortune telling craft, but rather oracle.
Unlike tarot cards, or a crystal ball, you will need to formulate your ideas or issues before you draw a rune. The runes will then, using your power and subconscious, lay out a series of possible outcomes based on your current situation. They share nothing with star signs or the zodiac – except to say that they are used in self healing and spiritual work. Rune readers will ask you to draw three runes, and from this they will interpret them for you. Runes are a tool for self work, so it is better if you learn about the meanings and do your own rune readings. The runic power in the runes is self power – rune power is nothing on its own – and although it is sometimes called rune magic – the magic is in you – in your own understanding of the universe and your own interaction with the powers and energies around you.
